We understand that plans change. This policy outlines the terms for cancelling, rescheduling, or modifying your booked move with Golden Moving LLC.
1. Cancellation Tiers
Refund amounts depend on how much notice you provide before your scheduled move date:
7+ Business Days
3-6 Business Days
Less Than 3 Days
"Business days" means Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The cancellation date is determined by when we receive your written or verbal cancellation request.
2. How to Cancel
To cancel your move, contact us through any of the following methods:
- Phone: Call (888) 219-6967 during business hours
- Email: Send your cancellation request to Sales@goldenmovingllc.com
- Text: Send "CANCEL" to the number that confirmed your booking
Please include your name, phone number, and scheduled move date in your cancellation request. You will receive a written confirmation of your cancellation within 24 hours.
3. Rescheduling
- Free rescheduling: Available if requested at least 3 business days before your scheduled move, subject to availability.
- Late rescheduling: Requests made less than 3 business days before the move will be treated as a cancellation followed by a new booking. Cancellation terms above apply to the deposit.
- One free reschedule: Your first rescheduling request is at no charge. Additional rescheduling may be subject to a $50 rebooking fee.
4. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- Credit card refunds may take an additional 3–5 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer.
5. Same-Day and Day-Of Changes
- Adding services: You may add packing, storage, or specialty handling on the day of the move, subject to crew availability and additional charges.
- Reducing scope: If the actual move is smaller than quoted, your final charge will reflect the actual services provided (for non-binding estimates).
- Weather delays: If your move is delayed due to severe weather, we will reschedule at no additional charge.
6. No-Show Policy
If our crew arrives at the scheduled time and location and no one is available to provide access:
- We will attempt to contact you by phone and text
- Our crew will wait up to 30 minutes
- If no contact is made, the move will be considered a cancellation with less than 3 business days' notice (deposit non-refundable)
- A truck roll fee may apply to cover crew and transportation costs
7. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for cancellations or delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, government orders, or civil unrest. In such cases, full deposits will be refunded or the move will be rescheduled at no charge.
8. Disputes
If you believe your cancellation or refund was handled incorrectly, please contact us at Sales@goldenmovingllc.com. We will review your case within 5 business days and respond with a resolution.
